The shorter the stem of a flower and the fewer leaves it has, the longer it lasts. Keep flowers away from sources of heat or light. Regularly trim the stems using a sharp knife (not scissors) at a 45-degree angle, about 2-3 cm from the base, to ensure better water absorption.
